At Bear Mountain Healthcare at Andover, it is our mission to provide our residents and their families with superior care while still making them feel at home. With 135 beds and various amenities, we bring a new level of comfort to the care received. We provide post-acute services, rehabilitative services, skilled nursing and short-term/long-term care.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assists in carrying out a program of activities which provides entertainment, intercommunication, exercise, and relaxation to all residents.

  • Assists in carrying out a program of activities which provides all residents the opportunity to express creative talent and fulfill basic psychological, social and spiritual needs.

  • Assists in outside activities.

  • Assists residents with hobbies.

  • Assists residents with arts and crafts activities.

  • Assists residents with group activities.

  • Encourages participation in religious activities.

  • Prints and distributes monthly activities calendar.

  • Attends in-service training programs and meetings designed to increase knowledge and improve job performance.

  • Participates in Quality Improvement as assigned.

  • Completes Activities Attendance Records.

  • Completes initial Activity Assessments and Quarterly Progress Notes.

  • Maintains assigned care plans.

  • Performs all job functions in a safe and hazard free manner.

  • Committed to working with residents and families to develop and implement strategies that promote person-centered care.

  • Applies “5 Star” customer service approach in all aspects of job.

  • Adheres to all company policies, procedures, and standards of conduct.

  • Reports to the appropriate managers any known or suspected violations of policy and procedures, regulations or standards of conduct.

  • Performs additional duties as assigned.
