Everts Air Sales Assistant in Anchorage, Alaska

Job Summary

Responsible for assisting the Sales Team in providing prompt service to customers with freight needs, to include the following: replying to inquiries, providing freight and charter quotes, and coordinating special freight shipments. Communicates and responds in a timely, accurate, and professional manner to promote positive business relationships between Everts Air Cargo and its customers.

Essential Functions

  1. Maintain comprehensive knowledge of Everts Air product offerings, processes and cargo software.
  2. Acquire knowledge of sales techniques and effectively apply them in practice.
  3. Carry out all duties with a strong commitment to excellent customer service.
  4. Provide administrative support to the Sales Team and assist with Customer Service as needed.
  5. Manage inbound lead inquiries, including shared inboxes and phones, responding and routing as appropriate. Ensure information provided to customers is accurate and timely.
  6. Document and track all significant customer interaction and quotes through the company
  7. Encourage customer development by striving to turn informational calls into sales leads for Account Managers.
  8. Work closely with Cargo, Customer Service, and Load Control to gain, and pursue sales leads and ensure service delivery is as agreed upon.
  9. Attend and participate in conferences, exhibits, and trade shows to promote Everts Air services and business opportunities.
  10. Assist in developing and creating marketing materials, such as sales and product collateral, and ensure brand guidelines are met.
  11. Support and participate in an organizational culture in which a passion for continuous improvement is innate.

Qualifications

  1. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. including a strong phone presence.
  2. Strong listening skills: ability to interpret and analyze customers needs in order to provide accurate quotes.
  3. Ability to attend evening, and weekend Trade Shows or community events as required.
  4. Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively.
  5. Strong attention to detail.
  6. Excellent interpersonal communication skills, works well with a team and individually.
  7. Strong computer skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office products, comfortable learning companys reservation system and CRM. Experience with Teams and/or HubSpot a plus.
  8. Strong organization and project management skills
  9. 1-3 years of customer service or retail sales experience
