Lead Plant Operator - Air Separation Unit (ASU) - Anchorage AK - $32 per hour, monthly performance based bonus - Tuesday through Friday, 5:00 am to 3:30 pm. As ASU Lead Production Operator, you will be responsible for leading the operations and maintenance of the only medically certified air separation unit (ASU) in the state of Alaska. You and the other technicians operating this facility are tasked with ensuring efficient and reliable operations 24 hours a day, producing cryogenic liquid oxygen and nitrogen for use in medical and industrial applications. You will also uphold compliance with all safety and regulatory procedures, including OSHA, FDA, and DOT.

In particular, you will:

  • Monitor and maintain the safe operation of the Air Separation facility.
  • Delegate and coordinate plant activities to obtain optimum efficiency and economy of operations and maximize production, working closely with the Plant Manager.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and manuals. Perform complex plant functions and maintenance including operations start-up and shutdowns.
  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance throughout the plant, including compressors, pumps, turbines, valves, motors, electrical equipment, and other plant equipment.
  • Take initiative to improve facility operations, working closely with the Plant Manager. Provide training to other operator associates at the plant.

__Are you a MATCH?

  • Associates degree in Process Technology or related field (preferred)
  • High school diploma or GED and 5 or more years of related experience - or - two years technical college or military technical experience plus 3 or more years experience (required)
  • Experience with Google Workspace or Microsoft Office (required); SAP or similar software experience (preferred)
  • Mechanical skills and basic understanding of refrigeration or air separation and associated technologies (preferred)
  • Must be able to work in a drug-free environment.
