Happy State Bank - a division of Centennial Bank GTC Alternative Assets Specialist Lead in Amarillo, Texas
The GoldStar Trust Company (GTC) Alternative Assets Specialist Lead is responsible for the timeliness and accuracy of all team transactions, including but not limited to purchases, sales, and in-kind transactions for IRA and/or non-qualified accounts that hold alternative assets. This position oversees the processing of purchases, liquidations, in-kinds, fair market value updates, loan fund reconciliations, US bank-stock transactions, Matrix-Mutual fund transactions, pricing updates, and other processes. The GTC Alternative Assets Specialist Lead is responsible for business partner and client escalations to management.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1.Receives direction to purchase or liquidate alternative assets from client and/or business partner. This duty is performed daily, about 15% of the time. 2.Processes requests to purchase or liquidate alternative assets in operating system. This duty is performed daily, about 15% of the time. 3. Prepares and processes alternative assets for in-kind distribution(s). This duty is performed as needed, about 5% of the time. 4. Manages various order preparation related to alternative assets. This duty is performed as needed, about 5% of the time. 5. Reconciles with asset sponsor statements/reports to ensure records are accurate. This duty is performed as needed, about 5% of the time. 6. Conducts assets research as assigned. This duty is performed as needed, about 5% of the time. 7. Oversees all daily processes by the team to ensure they are completed in a timely and accurate manner. This duty is performed daily, about 45% of the time. 8. Escalates all processing issues from team to management. This duty is performed daily, about 5% of the time. 9. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. This duty is performed daily. 10. Completes required BSA/AML training and other compliance training as assigned. This duty is performed quarterly. 11. Performs any other related duties as required or assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Knowledge of a specialized field (however acquired), such as basic accounting, computer, etc. Equivalent of four years in high school, plus night, trade extension, or correspondence school specialized training, equal to two years of college, plus 3 years related experience and/or training, and 12 to 18 months related management experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Ability to read and understand documents such as policy manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; ability to write routine reports and correspondence. ability to effectively communicate information and respond to questions in person-to-person and small group situations with customers, clients, general public and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
CRITICAL THINKING SKILLS
Ability to utilize common sense understanding in order to carry out written, oral or diagrammed instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving several known variables in situations of a routine nature.

RESPONSIBILITY FOR WORK OF OTHERS
