Machine Operator

Job Description

We are searching for a skilled machine operator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining metal shop equipment and machinery, setting up manufacturing equipment, and using machine equipment to complete tasks. Responsibilities include performing routine inspections of metal shop equipment, keeping records of approved and defective units or final products, and maintaining activity logs. The candidate will also need to diagnose process and quality issues and make improvement recommendations to the department supervisor. Furthermore, the role includes inspecting parts with precision, rejecting defective parts and material according to policy, and ensuring safe, careful use, treatment, and maintenance of tools and equipment. The successful candidate will also be required to cross train in different areas of the shop as required. The role involves fabricating various types of products and components, meeting defined production schedules, and performing basic operator preventative maintenance. The machine operator will also need to operate and/or use related machinery, equipment, and tools necessary to complete assembly/parts fabrication to specifications. The position requires good electromechanical aptitude and the ability to follow operation procedures to produce products that meet quality standards.

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 3 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in ALPHARETTA, Georgia.

Work Environment

Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment. Work involves frequent lifting of materials and products up to 50 pounds. The candidate must have the ability to stand, squat, & bend for extended periods of time, lift, stoop, and make repeated movements of fingers, hands, & wrists. The manufacturing plant is climate controlled. Machinery operation requires safety equipment including eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, and safety work shoes.
