Patient Services Specialist - Medical Receptionist

$17-18/hr based on experience

Job Description:

• The Patient Service Specialist will sit at the front desk of a busy outpatient specialty clinic in Alexandria, VA.

• Patient registration, scheduling follow up appointments, check in, check out.

• General customer service to all patients for whatever they may need.

• Answering all phone calls as they come in, helping patients with whatever they may need.

• Documenting Doctor's notes on the patient files in the EMR system they use.

• Multi Tasking with a doctor needing things from them, the patients being in front of them, and the phones ringing.

• Will be on the phones 33% of the time, on the computer 33% of the time, and helping patients 33% of the time.

• This is a full-time contract to hire job opportunity with benefits!

Schedule: Schedule is set from week to week, but shifts vary between 7 AM - 6 PM

• Candidates must be available to work this exact schedule, there is no option for flexibility on these days/times.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent

• At least 1-2 years of administrative experience

• Healthcare admin experience (medical front desk or PRA or PSC) preferred
