Job Title: Western Canada Sector Lead

Reports to: Western Canada Business Development Manager

Department: Customer Experience

Location: Work from home

Full-Time

Basic Purpose:

To increase Bureau Veritas’ visibility and market share through the development and execution of a sector specific strategy.

Key Accountability/Responsibilities:

Represent Bureau Veritas by being an ambassador of the brand and values at conferences, workshops, trade association meetings and other industry networking events

• Develop and execute on strategies to promote Bureau Veritas services in Western Canada (AB, BC, SK, MB, NWT, and YK); to grow market share and increase brand loyalty, primarily within the sector

• Drive brand awareness through social media platforms and other tools

• Gather the “voice of the customer” and leverage personal experience to define sector requirements and unmet wants and to shape our value proposition and service offering to the customer

• Gather pertinent information regarding our market, customers, competitors’ strategies, and success/failure stories to increase Bureau Veritas’ competitiveness on the market and share with Bureau Veritas stakeholders

• Manage major sector relationships and opportunity development in conjunction with the Key Account Specialists as required

• Management of annual revenue budgets, monthly forecasting and expense management for the sector. Responsible for sector specific budget development and budget forecasting

• Leading the RFP strategy while working closely with the Revenue Management Office and Business Development Manager

• Increases market share by developing new accounts and expanding penetration with existing customers within the sector

• Coordinates customer experience activities effectively with the customer experience team, operations, marketing, IT, and others as applicable through effective teamwork and communication

• Leading and hosting external events at the client or industry level

• Adhere to Bureau Veritas Code of Ethics Policy

• Support and comply with all Bureau Veritas policies, Quality System and Health & Safety program

• Participate, when requested in department and health and safety meetings

• Maintain training records and relevant qualifications

• All other responsibilities as assigned

Skills and Knowledge:

• You possess a University Degree or a College Diploma in Sciences, preferably chemistry or environmental related and/or have the equivalent experience

• 7-10 years of account management, business development and/or industry-related experience

• Enjoy being outbound, networking with clients and working independently

• Outstanding customer relationship management skills

• You have excellent listening, problem‐solving, communication and presentation skills

• Strong social media presence (LinkedIn, Twitter…etc)

• You have the ability to write strong technical proposals

• An energetic personality that can work independently in a multi-tasking fast paced environment

• You are ethical, dynamic, motivated and results oriented

• You possess strong leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate and influence colleagues in a matrix structure. You enjoy participating in the growth and successes of others

• You have valid driver’s license and demonstrate safe driving record. Travel is required for this position

Working Conditions:

• General office environment with some exposure to laboratory environment

• High level of multi‐tasking with large cross‐section of clients

• High level of work production in lab environment and business setting

• Business travel is required to meet with clients / prospects, attend conferences, etc; and can include evenings, weekends and out of sector travel when required

• Extensive driving on highway and secondary roads is required

The salary range for this role is $80,000 - $93,000

Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location.
