Summary You will serve as a HUMAN RESOURCE SPECIALIST (RECRUITMENT & PLACEMENT/CLASSIFICATION) in the Staffing and Classification Advisory Branch of MARINE CORPS BASE. Responsibilities You will apply a wide range of staffing and classification theories, concepts, practices, laws, policies, rules, regulations, precedents and procedures to identify interrelated problem. You will draw conclusions and recommend appropriate course of action, and perform a variety of difficult and complex assignments. You will provide guidance on a number of body rules, procedures, and operations concerning recruitment and placement sufficient to perform a wide variety of interrelated and/or non-standard support work involved in the filling of various positions. You will service an organizational structure and mission(s) of activities and interrelationships with position classification in order to advise management. You will apply Federal civilian pay setting policies in order to accurately set pay for various personnel actions and advise managers and employees on pay setting issues, and flexibilities to facilitate recruitment and retention. You will written and oral communication sufficient to prepare and present findings and recommend and/or carry out specific action(s) regarding difficult issue. You will develops, modify, and/or conducts basic and/or refresher training in personnel staffing policies and procedures (e.g. pay setting, job analysis, evaluation plan development, special emphasis programs, etc.). Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Advising managers on federal civilian recruitment strategies; utilizing automated HR tools and systems to accomplish recruitment assignments; executing a wide range of personnel actions for a serviced population; and provide classification guidance and interpretation to facilitate the staffing and recruitment functions.
