Responsibilities

Public Consulting Group seeks a talented Technical Design Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for translating complex business needs into clear and comprehensive designs and business requirements documentation. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that our products meet both business objectives and user needs.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements. Translate business needs into clear and concise documentation.

  • Work closely with consultants and client-facing teams to create intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces that align with business objectives and user needs.

  • Advocate for user-centered design principles. Develop wireframes, prototypes, and user flows to enhance the overall user experience.

  • Write detailed design specifications, user stories, and other documentation to communicate requirements to development teams effectively.

  • Collaborate with client managers, business analysts, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment between business goals and design solutions.

  • Review designs and prototypes to ensure they meet both business requirements and user expectations. Provide feedback and recommendations for improvement.

Goals:

  • Provide high quality designs, business requirements, and technical specifications to minimize ambiguity and misinterpretation by development teams.

  • Consistently deliver user interfaces that not only meet business goals but also exceed user expectations in terms of usability and aesthetics.

  • Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in design, UX, and business requirements writing.

  • Proactively incorporate relevant innovations into our processes to maintain competitiveness and relevance in the market.

Qualifications

Required / Desired Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Design, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • 3+ years' work experience in system design.

  • Experience withAxure, Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD is preferred

  • UI / UX experience and course certification (Preferred)

Required Skills:

  • Previous experience in design and business requirements documentation for software products or digital solutions.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely.

  • Meticulous attention to detail is a must. Ability to review documentation and designs critically to ensure accuracy and completeness.

  • Proficiency in user interface design principles and tools such as Axure, Adobe XD, Sketch, Figma. Experience with UX design methodologies is a plus.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to analyze business needs and translate them into actionable requirements.

  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams. Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and requirements. Reacts professionally under pressure.

  • Excellent time management skills; self-starting and self-motivated; ability to work independently with limited supervision.

  • Ability to manage priorities across multiple teams/projects, and platforms.

Compensation

Compensation for roles at Public Consulting Group varies depending on a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by applicable law, PCG provides the following reasonable range of compensation for this role: $65,000 - $85,000 and a potential discretionary bonus of up to 10%. In addition, PCG provides a range of benefits for this role, including medical and dental care benefits, 401k, PTO, parental leave, bereavement leave.
