The Lab Coating Technician will be responsible for applying coatings to eyeglass lenses using specialized equipment and techniques. Attention to detail and adherence to quality standards are essential in this role to ensure the production of high-quality eyewear.
Responsibilities
Apply various types of coatings to eyeglass lenses using specialized equipment and techniques.
Maintain coating equipment and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
Inspect coated lenses to ensure they meet quality standards.
Record production data accurately and efficiently.
Follow safety procedures and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications in optical coating are a plus.
1+ years of experience as a Lab Coating Technician preferred.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
Must follow rigorous procedures to ensure a high quality product is produced.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to coating equipment.
Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
Effective communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
