Chicago based construction company seeking Traveling Construction Superintendent for project in Wisconsin. The project will be located in Middleton, WI to start- This is a fully on-site role, performing a full renovation of a 4th floor at a VA Hospital.

Candidate will be working on-site. If candidate is local, they will receive $500 for car allowance.

Project is expected to last 12-months, after which they will ideally like to move them onto another project. Location is not guaranteed, so ideally looking for someone who is open to travel.

Description:

• Demonstrate highly effective Superintendent tasks including; due diligence, design review, value engineering, defining subcontract scopes, negotiating contracts, establishing and controlling schedules, and reviewing and approving scope changes

• Field coordination between ownership and the office

• Maintain general conditions and job costing

• Document and negotiate changes that may affect project completion or contract costs with subcontractors and owners

• Responsible for coordination with other subcontractors + other parties on-site

• Planning of all site activities by all sub-trades

• Ensure project aligns with high standards of safety and quality

• Other duties as assigned

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience working in a Superintendent/Site Superintendent capacity

• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or related field preferred not required

• OSHA 30-hour training (Preferred, not required)

• Strong verbal and written communication

• Computer Skills: Proficiency using Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, Outlook

• No clearances/badges required

• Must have valid driver's license

• Must be able o pass standard drug test

• Must have valid work authorization, no educational extensions

• Local to Chicago area highly preferred
