AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. Within SMGS, the Analysts Relations (AR) team is a strategic marketing function with the primary objective of creating advocacy with industry analysts that leads to recommendations for our services. As an organization, our focus is positioning AWS accurately and positively, and ensuring we have a coordinated response to key issues that may span the AWS business.

The ideal candidate is clearly passionate about new opportunities, demonstrating a track record of success in delivering effective AR measurement programs, and offers experience delivering AR results through highly scaled sales organization. A commitment to delivering results, and strong communication skills (to both business and technical partners) is needed. This person should have proven success in delivering high-quality technology programs in a hyper-growth environment where priorities shift fast.

Basic Qualifications

  • 8+ years of non-internship professional marketing experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree or 10+ years of relevant experience

  • 7+ years of analyst relations, communications, or product marketing experience in the tech industry

  • 5+ years’ experience directly interacting with Gartner, Forrester and other major IT industry analyst firms

  • Experience in supporting Public Relations, Sales, Product, and/or Marketing teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in cloud computing via product programs or a Marketing role

  • Experience managing vendor evaluations for Gartner Magic Quadrants and Forrester Waves

  • Experience working to shape analyst perceptions of category definitions beyond just evaluation responses

  • Passion for working in a lean, fast-paced organization, and desire to own and refine key operational processes

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $124,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $232,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
